Sudoku
Fill the grid so every row, column and 3×3 box has the numbers 1 to 9. A new puzzle every day.
How to play
Every row, every column and every 3×3 box must contain each number from 1 to 9 exactly once. Some numbers are given to start you off; work out the rest by logic. Every puzzle here has exactly one solution, so you never need to guess.
- Entering numbers: select a square, then tap a number on the pad or type it. Tap the same number again, or press Erase, to clear it. On a keyboard, move with the arrow keys and pressBackspace to erase.
- Notes: turn on Notes (or press N) to pencil in the numbers a square could be. Placing a number removes it from the notes in its row, column and box.
- Mistakes: a number that repeats in a row, column or box turns red. Undo(Ctrl + Z) takes back moves, and Hint fills in the selected square, or the easiest one left.
- Daily puzzle: everyone gets the same easy, medium and hard puzzle each day, changing at midnight. Your progress is saved in your browser, so you can come back to it later.
- Print: prints just the grid with the starting numbers, to solve with a pencil. For pages of puzzles with an answer key, use printable Sudoku.
How hard is each level?
Easy puzzles can be finished by finding squares where only one number fits.Medium puzzles also need you to spot the only square in a row, column or box where a number can go. Hard puzzles need more than both of those, such as working with your notes.
