Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information NessaLabs ("we", "us") collects when you use nessalabs.com, how it's used, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@nessalabs.com.

What we don't collect

There are no accounts or sign-ups on this site. The games and calculators run entirely in your browser, and what you type into them (amounts, numbers to convert, guesses) is never sent to us.

The printable calendar remembers which holidays you chose and any dates you added yourself, so they're there next time. They're saved in your browser's local storage on your device only, never sent to us, and you can remove them by clearing the box and unticking the holidays, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. The same goes for the light or dark theme if you choose one with the switch at the top of the page, and for your progress in Sudoku puzzles, your 2048 game and best score, and the budget you enter in the budget planner, so you can carry on later.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are popular and how visitors find us. Google Analytics collects information like the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your approximate location (country or city, derived from your IP address), and the site that referred you. It uses cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) to tell visits apart. We don't use this to identify you personally.

We also record a few anonymous events about how the games and tools are used, so we know which ones to improve: when a game starts and ends, with the settings chosen (such as the difficulty) and the outcome (such as win or loss, number of tries, moves or hints, or time taken); which converter units are used; when a calculator or its chart is used; when a calendar is printed, with its layout, paper size, which holiday lists were shown, and whether you added dates of your own; when Sudoku sheets are printed, with the difficulty, how many, and whether answers were included; when printable paper is printed, with its type, page size and spacing; and when you copy something in the color palette generator, with the scheme and what kind of thing was copied (never the colors). These events never include the values you enter or the dates and names you add.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default: Google Analytics only receives limited, cookieless signals unless you give consent.

Google processes this data under its own policies; seehow Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out of Google Analytics on all sites with theGoogle Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.

Advertising

To keep the site free, we show (or plan to show) ads from third-party networks such as Google AdSense. Ad networks may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites, and to measure ad performance. You can manage personalized Google ads atGoogle Ad Settings, and opt out of personalized ads from many networks at aboutads.info. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links: if you click one and buy something or sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The retailer or network may set a cookie to record that you came from our site. Affiliate links are marked where they appear.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services. As with any website, your browser sends your IP address and basic request details to the servers that deliver each page; AWS processes these to serve the site and keep it secure.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll address it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, the UK, or California), you may have rights to access, delete, or object to the use of your personal information, or to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for advertising. Because we don't hold accounts or contact details, most data about your visits is held by Google; the opt-outs above are the quickest way to limit it. For any request, email info@nessalabs.com.

Changes

We'll update this page when our practices change, for example when ads are added, and change the date at the top.
